The Local Carlsbad Library

Instead of buying new books I check out books from the library, so I am looking forward to my first and many visits to the Carlsbad Library.

Early June

Well, the move is finally coming together and I have time to start this blog. We'll be moving the first week of June to Carlsbad. I am so excited about this move. We have been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last 10 years and the move will be a nice change.

The last few years husband and I have been downsizing, getting rid of lots of stuff, so we have been able to comfortably live in a small two bedroom apartment for the last 5 years. It's been nice living in a small place however it's been difficult having friends and family stay with us and we haven't done much entertaining which I really enjoy and miss. So we have taken a big leap and have rented a 3 bedroom, we now will have an extra room which will be used as our guest room. Housing in San Diego County is less expensive then the Bay Area, I feel like a kid in a candy store.

So the big challenge will be to not accumulate too much stuff to fill up the house. I'll have to keep reminding myself that not every corner or wall needs to have something on it.

I'll be posting regularly on how the move is going (that doesn't sound very interesting). And once the move is over I'll start posting all the new things that I'm learning about North San Diego County(Now That Sounds EXCITING).
